How does your garden grow?

Usually my garden just grows weeds but this
year I have aimed to keep the view from the
kitchen window looking good. So for the last
four months the tubs have been flourishing.
How pretty these Verbena are - wish
I had planted more. You can just see the
Nasturiums starting to grow next to them so
hopefully they will feature on the blog in due
course.

Strawberry time

Yes its that time of year - we went strawberry-
picking last weekend and made loads of fabulous
strawberry jam the next day.
The rate it is disappearing at we may have to
make a return trip while it is still strawberry-
picking season!

More patchwork

This time patchwork of the knitted variety. I loved
knitting my patchwork blanket so much
have started another one. This one is
destined for my bed and so far restricted
to four colours. That could change- haven't
quite made up my mind yet.

Just realised how long it's been since
I put anything on the blog - have been
busy with lots of creative stuff.
This little cushion was inspired by the
patchwork one

Evening in the garden

Our free seeds from the BBC finally arrived as
did our long delayed seeds and bulbs from
Sarah Raven so an evening in the garden was
in order planting, lettuce, rocket, carrots, beetroot
and basil as well as nasturium and gladioli.
Now we just have to wait and see what grows
(and water it all of course!)
